Keystone Heights High School won its ninth straight match to conclude the regular season in girls soccer, defeating visiting Crescent City 2-1 on Jan. 19.

Kiersten Shaw scored both goals off assists from Kendall Gagnon and Lizzie Waughon.

Goalkeeper Miranda Yow made six saves.

The Indians (17-4) earned the second seed in the District 4-3A tournament, which is being played at P.K. Yonge. Keystone plays seventh seed Interlachen in a quarterfinal match on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 8 p.m. If the Indians win, they’ll play either third seed Williston or sixth seed Fort White in a semifinal match on Friday, Jan. 27, at 5 p.m. A win there puts Keystone in the Tuesday, Jan. 31, championship match, which will start at 7 p.m.

Whoever wins the championship match will qualify for the Region 1 playoffs. The playoffs will consist of the champions of the region’s four districts and the top four teams in the power rankings that aren’t district champs.

Keystone is the seventh-ranked team in Region 1 behind fellow District 4 team P.K.Yonge, Bolles, Maclay, Pensacola Catholic, Providence and Florida High.
