KHHS girls to play for district title in soccer

Keystone Heights High School advanced to the championship match of the District 4-3A girls soccer tournament, defeating host Williston 3-2 in a Jan. 26 semifinal match.

The second seed Indians (12-5-1) will play top seed P.K. Yonge for the title on Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m. in Williston. P.K. Yonge (12-3-3) advanced by defeating fourth seed Newberry 8-0.

Keystone got one goal each from Kayle Buchanan, Alee Horton and Ella Hutchins in defeating third seed Williston (11-5). Kiersten Shaw recorded one assist.

Goalie Aspen Krohn made 10 saves.

The Indians and P.K. Yonge have played each other for a district championship in each of the last four seasons, with the Blue Wave winning all four matches.
