BHS baseball team opens with 1-run loss

Bradford High School’s baseball team dropped its season opener, losing 3-2 to host University Christian on Feb. 19.

The host team scored all of its runs in the third inning, while Mattox Burgin drove in all of the Tornadoes’ runs in the sixth.

Cason Pilcher went the distance on the mound, giving up one earned run on three hits.

Bradford hosts Eastside on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 6 p.m. The Tornadoes then play another home game on Friday, Feb. 23, against Englewood at 6:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Feb. 27, the Tornadoes travel to play Middleburg at 6:30 p.m.
