Kaylee Wright set a new school record as Keystone Heights High School concluded the regular season in girls weightlifting with a 49-32 win over visiting Interlachen on Jan. 19.

Wright broke the record for overall total in the 169-pound class at 350 pounds. Part of that total, she tied the school record in her class for the bench press at 185.

It was a great way to celebrate Senior Day, which honored Wright (three-year lifter and two-time state qualifier), Ariel King (four-year lifter) and Liza Robinson (first-year lifter).

Wright was one of six Keystone lifters to win their classes. Joining her were Madison Sapp (110 class), King (129), Chloe Still (139), Kenly Chitty (154) and Paige Harrington (183).

Reagan Lee and Alexys Schleeter tied for second behind Still in the 139 class, while the following also placed second: Heidi Knapp (119), Morgan Wilson (169), Lily Mitchell (183) and Ava Herman (unlimited).

The Indians next participate in the District 6-1A finals, which will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Johns Country Day School in Orange Park.
