Tornadoes to host Paxon to start flag football playoffs

Bradford High School’s flag football team was announced as the third seed in Region 1-1A with the release of the Florida High School Athletic Association’s final power rankings and playoff brackets.

Bradford (16-0) will host sixth seed Paxon (12-3) in a Region 1 quarterfinal game on Wednesday, April 26, at 7 p.m. If the Tornadoes win, they will play a semifinal game on Wednesday, May 3, at 7 p.m. Bradford would either travel to Fort Walton Beach to play second seed Choctawhatchee (14-2) or host seventh seed Ridgeview (8-3).

The rest of the Region 1 bracket consists of top seed Ed White (17-1), fourth seed Stanton (15-2), fifth seed Lincoln (13-4) and eighth seed Florida High (12-5).

In the FHSAA’s final power rankings, Bradford was sixth in all of Class 1A behind Robinson, Edison, Ed White, Choctawhatchee and Wildwood.
