Tornadoes defeat FSDB 32-14 in flag football

Bradford High School improved to 10-0 in flag football on April 3 with a 32-14 win at Florida School for the Deaf and Blind.

Ar’Naysia Griffin completed 17 of 22 passes for 240 yards and three touchdowns. Nichelle Brown caught all three scoring tosses and finished with eight receptions for 140 yards. Kimber Woods added five receptions for 65 yards, while Khamyra Hankerson and Jada Hankerson had 20 yards and 15 yards, respectively, on two catches each.

Griffin led the team in rushing with 65 yards on eight carries. Brown had two carries for 25 yards, while Izarriah DeSue had one carry for 20 yards.

Defensively, Brown, Griffin and Dariah Gilmore each had an interception.

The Tornadoes were ranked 17th in the Florida High School Athletic Association’s inaugural Class 1A power poll.
