Quarterback A.J. Cortese rushed for two scores and passed for another as the Union County High School football team defeated visiting Madison County 27-16 in the Region 3-1R semifinals tonight (Nov. 18).
The Tigers (7-2) will now host Lafayette (10-2) for the Region 3 championship on Friday, Nov. 25, at 7:30 p.m.
Lafayette won its sixth game in a row, defeating Hilliard 31-13 in the night’s other Region 3 semifinal.
