State Road 100 through Starke to be detoured Tuesday morning

STARKE – As part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s Starke Railroad Overpass Interchange Improvements project, eastbound State Road 100 between Walnut Street and Thompson Street will be detoured Tuesday, Dec. 13, to pour decking. The roadway closure will take place at 2:30 a.m. and reopen by 10 a.m., weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
Drivers attempting to travel eastbound on State Road 100 will be detoured onto southbound Walnut Street, then left onto South Street, left onto Thompson Street and right onto east State Road 100.
Drivers traveling westbound on State Road 100 will not be detoured but may experience intermittent traffic stoppage due to related flagging operations.
A large vehicle detour will remain in place for eastbound State Road 100 from U.S. 301 to Water Street. Eastbound State Road 100 large vehicle traffic will turn right onto southbound U.S. 301, then turn left onto SE 144th Avenue (Hazen Street) and continue onto SE 144th Street to State Road 100.
