Reflecting on a legend

Dear Editor:

“David Hurse Night” at last Friday’s football game was a huge success and a wonderful way to honor the legend of Coach David Hurse. It was sponsored by BHS with support by Will Hartley, Superintendent of Schools.

A special thanks to BHS Principal, Angela Ward and Coach Brian Tomlinson. Special recognition to Assistant Principal Chris Coffey who coordinated the event. Catering by The Grill was outstanding as well as public notification by John Miller and The Telegraph.

Terry Vaughan’s tribute was the highlight, with a letter from Larry Brown, our own pro-bowl player and Super Bowl Champion. It was a great night for players to remember their former coach and his wife, Mrs. Myrna Lou Hurse. Thanks to all who made this special event a huge success.
