Margaret Dobbs
Margaret Louise Dobbs, 88, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and wife. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Dobbs; and granddaughter, Maggie Hickox.
She is survived by her daughters, Lori (Randy) Bacon and Lisa (Tim) Burton; grandsons, Joshua Raynes, Justin (Stephanie) Bacon, Nicholas Hickox and Eric Burton; and great-grandchildren, Tristan Hickox, Beau Hickox and Claire Bacon.
The family will receive friends for a visitation from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, at Archer-Milton Funeral Home. Immediately following the visitation, there will be a graveside service at Sapp Cemetery in Raiford.

John Dunlap
John Dunlap, 67, of Melrose died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lural Dunlap; sister, Jennifer Dunlap; and grandmother, Annie Moore Chesnut.
Survivors are his beloved Lynn; sister, Amy Edge; Aunt Pat; Lynn’s family; and many extended family members.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Evergreen Cemetery in Gainesville.

Oscar Hoilman Sr.
Oscar Malone Hoilman Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend was born in Boone, North Carolina on May 10, 1941. He passed away on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at the age of 83. Oscar proudly served in the U.S. Army, dedicating his life to his country and his family. His name carries on through five generations of “Oscars,” reflecting the deep legacy he has left behind. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma Lee Hoilman; his sons, Jeffrey Hoilman and Chadwick Hoilman; his parents, Grace and Ed Sharp; his father, Carl Hoilman; his siblings, Joyce Nickels, Charles Hoilman, Nettie Mae Daniels; and his great-grandson, Blake Norman.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Hoilman; and his loving family, including his brother, Rom (Wanda) Hoilman; sons, Oscar Malone Hoilman “Lee” Jr., Donald Hoilman (Vickie Johnson), Wade Franklin (Christy) Hoilman Sr., and Jordan (Maria) Swanagan; and his daughters, Melissa (Larry Shane) Thornton and Jaelyn Swanagan. Oscar’s legacy lives on through his 17 grandchildren, including grandsons, Jake (Misty) Hoilman, Cody Hoilman, Donald Hoilman Jr. (Rosemary Johnson), Todd Sea, Chadwick Hoilman (Christy Whitten), Wade Franklin (Elizabeth) Hoilman Jr., Austin Thornton, and Andrew Swanagan. He also leaves behind granddaughters, Donna Jackson, Wendy (Brian) Thornton, Dallas Hoilman, Joanie (Branden) Rice, Chelsea Dorminey, Kara (Steven) Hutchins, Lisa Wynn, Brooklyn Wynn, and Paisley Thornton. Additionally, his family includes 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly. He was known for his passion for barrel racing and his tireless work ethic. Above all, he cherished his family and held them close to his heart.

Wayne Massey
Wayne Evan Massey, 85, of Lawtey, passed away on Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, at UF Health in Gainesville. He was born in Summerfield to Elder Audrey (A.E.) and Inez Massey on May 9, 1939. He and his family moved to Lawtey in 1947. He attended Lawtey Junior High and then graduated from Bradford High in 1957. He married Abbie Esther Harley on March 24, 1963. They were blessed with 61 years of marriage. He served in the United States Army and Florida National Guard. He retired from the Florida Forest Service, where he was a forest ranger and electrician. After retirement, he watched over his younger children and older grandchildren while having fun. He enjoyed growing a garden, woodworking, building, collecting, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends, all while capturing memories with his video camera. On Friday nights, he could be found with Abbie, cheering on the Bradford Tornado football team at all the home games for over 60 years. Go Big Red! He was saved by Grace and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Lawtey. He was a proud former city of Lawtey council member and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward Lee, Daniel, and Spurgeon Massey; and his son-in-law, Bobby Autry.
He is survived by his loving wife, Abbie; and his daughters, Terri (Michael) Andrews of Wellborn, Virginia Autry of Hampton Lake, Audrey (Stephen) Murphy, and Esther (Jeremy) Lawson, all of Starke. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Scott (Elizabeth) Taylor, Josh Taylor, Matthew (Willow) Andrews, Ella Murphy, Grant Lawson, and Carley Lawson; and his step-grandchildren, Cassie (Chad) Reddish and Jim (Angel) Autry. He was the proud great-grandfather to Dylan, Landon, Allie, Annalise, and Adeline Taylor, and Emma and Will Reddish.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. at DeWitt C. Jones Chapel of Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home, followed by a service at 2 p.m. Burial will be immediately after at Crosby Lake Cemetery. Russell Miscally
Russell D. Miscally, born Feb. 4, 1944, in Jacksonville, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024, in Orlando. He was a graduate of Robert E Lee High School. He worked for Seaboard Coast Line Industries, currently CSX Railroad, prior to working for the Jacksonville Fire Department as an engineer. He was one of the original members of the rescue division of JFRD. Russell served in both the combat and rescue divisions during his career. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and racing. He had a passion for growing his own vegetables. He never met a stranger and always was ready with a helping hand. He and his wife enjoyed competitive fishing tournaments and many boating trips to the Keys with his sons. He will be dearly missed by family, friends and former colleagues. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his two sons, Judy Miscally.
He is survived by his wife, Suzette Miscally; sons, Russell (Dawn) Miscally Jr., and Greg (Rita) Miscally; daughter, Jennifer (Mike) McCall; four grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews.
The family will receive friends at the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel of Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 12 p.m.

She is survived by her sons, Nicholas Gauthier and Timmy Wilkerson; daughter, Donna (Ed) Skarosi; four grandchildren, Mary (Zackary) Horne, Wyatt Gauthier, Brandon (Christine) Gauthier and Alex (Tiffany) Gauthier; two great-grandkids, Presley and Hudson Gauthier; and two brothers, Greg (Camille) Whitaker and Gene (Sherry) Whitaker. She will be deeply missed.
