James Breeden
James “Billy” Hartwell Breeden, 91, of Melrose died Friday, Dec. 22, 2023, at Haven Hospice E. T. York Care Center in Gainesville.
Survivors are his children, Charles W. (Mia) Breeden, Terry Ruth (Dewayne) Stidham, James M. (Ruth) Breeden and Theresa Webster; and extended family members.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, Dec. 27, at North Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sgt. Therron Johnson
Sgt. Therron Randall (Randy) Johnson, 57, of Keystone Heights passed away at his home Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023. He was born May 6, 1966, in Jacksonville to Herbert Johnson and Caroline (Sutton) Williams. After dedicating 21-plus years to the United States Air Force, United States Army, Air National Guard, and civil service, and serving three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, he retired a decorated sergeant. He was a man of faith who loved Jesus, his children, his family, and friends. He loved working on cars, helicopters and airplanes. He was passionate about surfing, skateboarding, playing the guitar, target shooting, gardening and watching the Florida Gators and Jaguars football. He was an exceptional, talented, artistic, and adventurous guy who was loved by many. His father, Herbert Johnson, preceded him in death; as well as his bonus father, James Williams.
He is survived by his children, Christian Johnson and Skylar Johnson, both of Keystone Heights; his mother, Caroline Williams of Hayden, Alabama; a sister, Candace Johnson of Hayden, Alabama; his extended sisters, Michele Yoder and Charlene Altman; and brother, Brett Williams.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, Dec. 27, with Chaplain Brian Garrison officiating. Interment was at Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
