NFE team wins national title

A trophy made its way from Dallas, Texas, to North Florida Elite Cheer and Tumbling in Starke as its Haze team won the National Cheerleaders Association All-Star National Championship in the L4.2 Small Senior Co-Ed division. The team competed Feb. 24-26 in Dallas, placing ahead of the Amistad Eagles All-Stars (Del Rio, Texas) Black Ice and Punchfront Cheer’s (Bonaire, Georgia) Glow-Ed. The Haze hit zero two straight days, which means it completed its routines without receiving any deductions. The news would get even better for the Haze, which later found out its score of 95.7458 was good enough to earn it a full-paid bid to compete at the D2 Championship, which will be held May 5-7 at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex at The Walt Disney World Resort.
