The Florida Highway Patrol said a 53-year-old Lake Butler woman was killed on the morning of Saturday, October 28, in a crash between La Crosse and Gainesville.
According to an FHP report, the 53-year-old was driving south on State Road 121 when her 2000 Honda collided head-on with a northbound 2015 Toyota. The northbound Toyota was driven by a 22-year-old Lake Butler man, who was transported to UF Health Shands in Gainesville with serious injuries.
The crash occurred around 6:15 a.m., a quarter mile south of Northwest 177th Avenue.
