KHHS girls tennis team defeats BHS

Keystone Heights High School improved its record to 4-2 in girls tennis with a 4-3 win over host Bradford on March 21.

The Indians earned three wins in singles: Tara Tarvit defeated Lexie Wells 8-2 at the number-one spot, Whitnee Buchanan defeated Brooklynn Reddish 8-3 at number three and Sarah Siebert defeated Maya Moss 8-0 at number five.

Bradford’s Reagan Harris and Caitlyn Jackson earned wins at the number-two and number-four spots, respectively. Harris defeated Shaylyn Williams 9-7, while Jackson defeated Raegan Feldpausch 8-1.

At number-one doubles, Tarvit and Buchanan teamed up for an 8-1 win over Wells and Harris, while Bradford’s Reddish and Jackson defeated Williams and Feldpausch 8-3 at the number-two spot.

The Tornadoes are now 5-6.
