KEYSTONE HEIGHTS— A Lake Region man prohibited by court order from stepping foot on a Keystone Heights-area property did so anyway and was tased by three deputies after daring the lawmen to shoot him.
Travis Allen Wright, 37, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, cyberstalking, burglary, petit theft, resisting an officer and contempt of court.
Deputies were called to the residence after the defendant was seen on the property wielding a machete.
According to an arrest report, two girls spotted the defendant while in a barn apartment.
A deputy wrote in the report that the defendant had violated the injunction barring him from coming onto the property five times.
Three deputies located Wright on a nearby parcel and tased the defendant after he ran while shouting to the officers to shoot him.
After deputies arrested Wright, they recovered a cellphone owned by one of the girls that the defendant had taken.
