Hoops season ends for BHS, KHHS boys

The boys basketball teams at Bradford and Keystone Heights high schools saw their seasons come to an end in the first round of their respective district tournaments.

Bradford, which was coming off the program’s first-ever state championship, was the fourth seed in the District 2-3A tournament, losing 67-15 to top seed P.K. Yonge in the Feb. 7 semifinals. The Tornadoes ended the season with a 1-18 record.

Keystone, the number-five seed in the District 5-4A tournament, lost 67-54 to fourth seed Eastside in a Feb. 7 quarterfinal game. The Indians finished the season 14-11, which was its best season in terms of wins since the 1998-99 team won 28 games.
