Four non-profits awarded $33,200

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS— The Clay Electric Foundation awarded two Clay County and two Putnam County non-profits a total of $33,200 during its August round of grants.

Fleming Island’s Island Theater received $5,700 to purchase a portable lighting and audio system.

The foundation awarded $15,000 to Goodwill Industries of North Florida to help the organization’s Putnam County Take Stock in Children program which provides college scholarships.

God’s Kitchen Inc. in Putnam County received $5,000 for food distribution and supplies for the soup kitchen.

Catholic Charities Bureau was awarded $7,500 to support the food pantry at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Middleburg.

The foundation is funded through Clay Electric’s Operation Roundup, in which members voluntarily round up their bills to the next whole dollar.
