Community Resource Hub plans grand opening

STARKE — The grand opening of Bradford Community Partners Health and Wellness Resource Hub will take place Tuesday, Jan. 24, beginning at 10 a.m. 

Concerned Citizens of Bradford County will be hosting the hub at the Bradford County Faith Community Center at 721 Old Lawtey Road in Starke.

The grand opening will feature a ribbon cutting as well as refreshments and giveaways throughout the event. Everyone is invited to come meet the Bradford Community Partners and sponsors.

Together, a variety of services will be offered to the community at a single location. These include blood pressure monitoring, diabetes prevention, adult education, job skills training, employment services, banking, college admission help, G.E.D. testing, tobacco cessation, disability resources, veteran resources, youth development, wellness workshops and financial literacy.

Initially, the hub will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Plans are underway to open additional hubs in Lake Butler and possibly Lawtey.
