Call Street schedule updated again

As part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s Starke Railroad Overpass Interchange Improvements project, Call Street, Walnut Street and Thompson Street will undergo improvements over the coming weeks. Due to weather forecasts, resurfacing work originally scheduled to start Friday, Jan. 20, is now scheduled to start Friday, Jan. 27, and will run through Jan. 30. The intersection work that was originally scheduled to start on Jan. 23 is now scheduled to start on Monday, Jan. 30.

Jan. 27-30 — Call Street (State Road 230), Walnut Street and Thompson Street resurfacing: Call Street between U.S. 301 and Water Street will be closed January 27-30. Additionally, Walnut Street and Thompson Street will be closed between Call Street and S.R. 100. Closures will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, and run through 6 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30. During resurfacing operations, on-street parking along Call, Thompson and Walnut Streets will not be available.

Jan. 30 – Call Street Intersection Reconstruction: Eastbound Call Street between U.S. 301 and Water Street will be closed starting Jan. 30. Additionally, Walnut Street and Thompson Street will be closed between Call Street and S.R. 100. Closures will begin at 6 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, and are expected to remain in place for two to three weeks, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. During reconstruction operations, on-street parking along eastbound Call, Thompson and Walnut streets may not be available.
