Bradford defeats Baker County 28-17 for Region 2-2S title

Bradford High School outscored visiting Baker County 21-0 in the second half as the Tornadoes won the Region 2-2S football championship with a 28-17 win tonight (Nov. 25).

The Tornadoes (12-1) opened the second half with a 98-yard kickoff return by Jametrius “Jip” Pringle to make it a three-point game.

Quarterback Jeremiah McKenzie’s 61-yard touchdown run on a fourth-and-1 play gave Bradford its first lead as well as the lead for good.

Chason Clark caught a short pass from McKenzie and turned it into a 79-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Bradford will host Region 3 champion Cocoa in a state semifinal game on Friday, Dec. 2. The Tigers (9-3) advanced by defeating South Sumter 35-7.
