BHS’ Clark, Shanks honored by Jaguars

Bradford High School senior football players Chason Clark and Dae’Jon Shanks were announced as members of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ All-Prep Top 25 team.

Student-athletes who were selected were recognized at EverBank Stadium on Dec. 20 and presented with custom Jaguars jerseys. The top-25 team members will also get to attend Jacksonville’s home game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, Dec. 31.

Clark and Shanks were both named to the team as athletes. Clark caught five passes for 62 yards and two touchdowns as a tight end, while making a school-best 134 tackles (20 for loss) as a linebacker. Shanks, who was the Tornadoes’ starting quarterback, completed 75 of 135 passes for 1,360 yards and 18 touchdowns. He was also the team’s leading rusher with 1,104 yards and 14 touchdowns on 151 carries.
