BC 4-H team wins state title

The Bradford County 4-H livestock-judging team won the overall team championship at the state competition, which was held April 15 in Gainesville. The team placed first in the following divisions en route to winning the overall title: Cattle, Reasons, Sheep and Goats and Swine. Team member Bailey Jones was the number-one overall individual, placing first in the Cattle, Reasons and Swine divisions. Jones also placed third in Sheep and Goats. Shayna Durrance was the fourth-place individual in Swine and placed sixth overall, while Bailey Varnes was the fifth-place individual in Swine and placed seventh overall. The team will compete against 48 teams in November at the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, Kentucky.
